Four women show off their skills are midweek league
It was celebration time for four women from Springs Town Bowling Club who recently competed in the 2017 Ekurhuleni Women's Midweek Bowling League.
They were crowned the runners-up after a tough time on the greens against the Boksburg Bowling Club team.
Emma Ragusa, Mabel Ndaba, Talita Coetzee and Monica Rudolph say they had fun playing in the nine week league.
The section four winning clubs were Boksburg Bowling Club, Benoni Country Club, Springs Town Bowling Club and Delville Bowling Club.
Emma and her team won the section and went through to the semi-finals where they beat Benoni Country Club with a 24-9 point score.
“However, Boksburg beat us in the finals, we are still very proud to have taken second place,” she says.
The league consisted of four sections in which each section played in the league for nine weeks to determine the section four winners.
“The team is in good spirit and we will definitely try again next year,” says Emma.
