Home of Hardcore has two new wrestling champions

Springs resident Clinton 'Harliquin' Smith is the new South African Pro Wrestling (SAPW) Heavyweight Hardcore champion.

The Home of Hardcore matches recently took place at the Brakpan Indoor Sport Centre.

Harliquin beat Adriaan ‘The Crow’ Harding with a pin fall.

Hardcore wrestler Julius ‘Hector Payne’ Reichel says the fight between Harliquin and The Crow was a traditional hardcore fight.

Harliquin had to beat his opponent using any or all weapons at his disposal, including a staple gun, computer box, DVD player and several keyboards.

Results for the Home of Hardcore matches are as follow:

Hector Payne is the new SAPW Hardcore Champion after he defeated Gerrie ‘The Jackal’ Kuyper with a pin fall.

During this fight barbed wire was wrapped around the ropes of the wrestling ring.

Tjopper ‘Griffin’ Hattingh defeated Sean ‘Jack Canon’ Holmes in a chair match with a pin fall.

This was a four-way elimination match between Johan ‘Warlock’ Lamprecht from Cape Town, Steve ‘Eden’ van Eeden, Marcel ‘The Ripper’ Jonker and Nicholas ‘Londos Lionheart’ Jonker from Cape Town.

Warlock beat all three of his opponents with a pin fall.

It was a victorious win for Congo wrestler Elan ‘Big Fire’ Diaoka, who defeated Paul ‘Cowboy’ de Vries in a tables match.

“Cowboy landed on a table, which broke, giving Big Fire the win,” says Julius.
