Pink ladies get best dressed prize at Super Saturday golf tournament

Pollak Park Golf Club was abuzz with golf activities over the weekend.

Sunday’s social game was won by Justin Cunha with 37 points and William Wilson was in second place with 37 points.

Clair Gosse took third place with 29 points.

The Super Saturday four-ball alliance fund-raising event was supported by 115 golfers.

Dressed up in pink, Margaret Reid, Ria Joubert, Mel Browning and Kara Lombard won the best dressed couple prize.

Garth McKay won the Friday Meat Competition with 37 points.

His runner-up was Thapelo Tshetho with 34 points.

With 20 points, Alan Naude played the best front nine and Frikkie Mynhardt had the best back nine, with 19 points.

Gerrie Mostert finished first with 39 points on Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday saw Jan Els in the lead with 36 points and Tony Storror ending in second place with 35 points.

Rachel Howard from the Proshop, says the club has had a busy week.

“We hope to see many players over the Christmas period as well,” she adds.

The club will hold its special general meeting at the club at 6.30pm, on Thursday.

The Gingers Christmas game will be played on Saturday.

December 16 is ProShop day.

The results of Super Saturday werent available at the time of going to print.
