Third League cricket team bags another win

The Springs Old Boys Third League cricket team played against the Boksburg A team at the Springs Old Boys Club on Saturday.

This was their fourth game of the season and their third win, as one of the other games was rained out.

Boksburg batted first and scored 127 runs all out after 24 overs.

After fielding, the Springs Old Boys Third League took the bat and managed to score 128 runs with five wickets after 21 overs, putting them in top spot.

The top performers for batting were Butch Edwards who scored 30 runs, Russel Edwards scored 28 runs and Kaillash Ranchod with 20 runs.

Kyle Meiring took the top spot in the bowling category with seven overs and three wickets for 33 runs.

Other top performers for bowling were Keagen Meiring with two overs and three wickets for six runs as well as Kaillash with four overs and two wickets for 18 runs.

The Springs Old Boys Third League cricket team will face Benoni Northerns on Saturday at the Springs Old Boys Club’s A field.
