Team Nissan ready for SA Derby, despite losing top competitor Lorette Knowles-Taylor.

This year’s SA Derby will commence at Kyalami Park from September 28, and run until October 2.

The Team Nissan show jumping team are certainly up for the challenge, despite losing number one ranked SA rider Lorette Knowles-Taylor, due to a shoulder injury.

Her husband, Barry Taylor, hopes to qualify for the prestigious SA Derby, at 2pm on October 2, on Lorette’s ride, Jansen’s Nissan Catwalk 22, as well as on his ride, Jansen’s Nissan Counter Attack.

“This is the best show of the year, as there’s something for everyone and it includes all disciplines,” said 10th ranked Barry.

“Even if you aren’t a rider, you’ll most certainly enjoy the family atmosphere and top class equestrian performances, including show jumping, showing, dressage and plenty more.”

Visitors to the show can enter for free between September 28 and October 1, and there is a small entrance fee on October 2.

Kyalami Park is situated at 1 Dahlia Road, Kyalami (next to the SA Lipizzaners).
