Tiaan Botha, ESLFA spokesman, says the coaches are confident the chosen 30 players will make Springs proud at the trials.
The following players were chosen in the u-12 group: Young Stars – Katlego Ntoagae, Kabelo Ntoagar, Lebogang Moleka and Jermaine Rooi, Oratile Sehume from Multiplayers and Kagiso Masek from Comeback.
U-13 players from Young Stars are: Prince Makhobeng, Mbuyiseni Zondo, Edward Chidoti, Malibongwe Mtshali, Adrian O’Daniel and Njabulo Hlongwe and Joseph Efah.
The u-13 players from Comeback are: Brandon Masilela, Siyabonga Jele, Candle Thibela, Titsetso Letsholo and Siphamandla Mdlakudla.
Snekamva Phikiso from Young Stars is the only u-14 player selected.
U-15 players chosen are: Young Stars – David Imana, Buggy Muriranavau and Thami Shamvu, while Happy Phasha is from Comeback.
Leon Majole from Young Stars is the only u-16 player selected.
The seven u-17 players are all from Young Stars: Tony Ladeira, Thabo Maela, Ntokoza Nkabinde, Romeo Mogamisi, Karabo Simelane, Katlego Thage and Makogelo Moleka.
The results of the friendly games are as follow:
The u-13 Multiplayers game against Young Stars ended in a 1-1 draw, while Comeback beat Young Stars 3-0.
Young Stars u-15 beat Payneville 4-3 and drew against Comeback.
The u-17 Young Stars team beat Multi players 3-0, while Comeback beat Daggafontein 1-0.
