Club raises funds with corporates

The Springs Country Club held its annual corporate fund-raising golf day on Saturday.

The tee-off time was 8am.

This initiative saw the gathering of various corporate sponsors as well as teams who played the BetterBall Stableford formation.

“We do this to raise funds for our club, so as to improve on the maintenance and general operating costs of it,” says club chairman, Wouter Beukes.

The day saw a large attendance, with club as well as family members who came to support the fund-raiser.

Beukes expressed his delight at the attendance and support received from all, as he explained that 20 teams were expected to play, which is a significantly good turn-out.

“It is good to see that, even in these trying economic times, we are still able to receive support for the club,” he said.

Food and beverages were in abundance, as well as the display of stalls from the number of corporate sponsors in attendance.
