Let the league games begin
On Saturday and Sunday, Selection Park Tennis club played its first league games, which proved to be both exciting but very challenging.
The final results for the games were as follows:
On Saturday, the mixed league team, who played against Modderfontein’s first team, won 105 points to 71.
The alternate league team played against Parkrand and lost 40 points to 64.
On Sunday, the men’s league A team lost four points to five against Northmead, while the B team lost four points to five against Altlasville.
“Our players tried their best,” says Janet Stevenson of the tennis club.”These are just the first games so we still have time to prove ourselves.”
The league games will continue for five more weeks.
