Rain prevents sport activities
The weekend was a wet one, but despite this, sport fanatics were out in full force to support their junior soccer teams.
Golfers, however, were not as brave and although a few golfers tried out the golf course, it was not the usual beehive of activity on the two golf courses.
Tennis players will have to be patient and wait to play in the Ekurhuleni Gauteng East Tennis League as their matches were postponed due to the rain.
These matches will now be played on Saturday.
The Springs Town Bowling Club’s finals for the Men’s Selected Pairs were also postponed.
Izak Hattingh and Okkie Nel were ready to take on Herkie van der Berg and Willie Nel, but they will have to wait until Saturday, if weather permits.
