Lawrence family competes in Ashburton MTB Series

Several Springs Wheelers cyclists competed in the Nic Bottari Toyota Route 42 MTB Challenge 2016 on Sunday.

Adele Lawrence and Kevin Lawrence finished the Ashburton MTB Series 2016 on Sunday.

In the 35km race Derek Edwards was the first Wheeler home and was fifth overall.

The first Wheeler home in the 79km race was André de Villiers in 3.20.

André was followed by Wheeler Francois Joubert in 3.48, Ian Gould in 4.26 and Grant Watson in five hours.

Alison Lingard was the first female Wheeler home and finished the race in 3.41, followed by Adele van Huyssteen in 5.46.

Wheeler Riaan Rousouw took part in the Tinman Triathlon 2016 on Sunday.

Adele Lawrence and Kevin Lawrence finished the Ashburton MTB Series 2016 in 6.03.

“Well done to all the competitors,” says club chairman Rudy Bosch.
