Tennis players in final
The finals of the Gary Dickson Veteran Memorial Tennis Tournament will be played at he Selection park Tennis Club on Saturday.
This tournament is played in honour of the late Dickson who died while on the tennis court.
Men over 40 and women over 35 years have played in the five week long tournament leading up to this weekend’s finals.
Mixed Doubles pair Janet Stevenson and Mick Hirst won their match in the semi finals against Linda Knoetze and Mike du Toit on Saturday.
They beat their opponents 7-2.
Mick and Rodney Smith lost to Ernst de Wet and Sias Reynecke in the Men’s Doubles 9-2.
Michelle Kent, club secretary says although Mick and Rodney lost, they have enough points to go into the finals on Saturday.
After completion of the finals, there will be a bring and braai.

The Gauteng Eastern Association Tennis League will start in May.
