Successful veteran tournament
The Gary Dickson Memorial Veterans Tennis Tournament is being played over five weeks with players competing every Saturday at the Selection Park Tennis Club.
This is in honour of the late Dickson who died while on the tennis court.
This tournament is for men over 40 years old and for women over 35.
Sandy Kock and Sias Reynecke are currently in the lead in the Mixed Doubles.
This tournament will continue over the next few Saturdays.
Play will start at 2pm at the club.
Couples to play on Saturday are Mick Hirst and Janet Stevenson against Ryno de Lange and Michelle Kent in the Mixed Doubles.
Competing for the title in the Men’s Doubles is Ernst de Wet and Sias Reynecke who will take on Mike du Toit and Ryno de Lange.
Eben Maré and Tony Stevenson will play against Ernst de Wet and Sias Reynecke also in a Men’s Doubles match.
