Pollak Park weekend results
Pollak Park golf club had a busy weekend on Saturday with a total of 220 players joining in the different leagues.
The Osbourn Group, Springs Boys’ High and the Serengeti League played games on Saturday with a local car company sponsoring the Springs Boys’ High team.
The club hosted a Valentine’s Day special on Sunday where women were treated to a wine-and-gin-tasting day as well as playing at no charge.
The results for the weekend are as follows;
Friday Meat competition prize winner was Roy Palmer with 37 points.
Garth Mckay came second with 36 points.
Best Front Nine went to Hannes Dempsey with 17 points, while Best Back Nine went to Danie Fick with 17 points.
Saturday AMIPS winners were: first Kurk Flynn with 39 points, second Wayne Lee with 38 points and third place went to Willie Greywenstein with 37 on count-out.
Valentine’s Better Ball winners were Anika van der Berg and Bazil Handoulas with 48 points and second place went to Steve Roy and Mike Roy with 44 points.
Rachel Howard, the club’s golf pro, congratulates all the prize winners.
