Cheetahs win three years in a row
The finals of the Super 16 golf tournament took place on Saturday at the Springs Country Club.
The two final teams were the Highlanders and the Cheetahs, after they knocked out the Stormers and Reds in the semi-finals on October 10.
The Cheetahs were the victors, beating the Highlanders 91 to 86.
This makes it the third year in a row that the Cheetahs have won the Super 16.
The Betterball Stableford Competition also took place on Saturday and the winners were as follows:
- First place – Stefan Prinsloo and Ilana Prinsloo with 49 points o.c.o.
- Second place – Gawie Greef and Johan van Deventer with 49 points o.c.o.
- Third place – Rob Stephens and Dot Zerbst with 46 points.
On Saturday, the Foursomes Open Championships will take place at the Springs Country Club.
The Monthly Medal will take place on November 7.
