Former SBHS pupils support golf day

Former Springs Boys High School (SBHS) pupils and the community supported a fundraising golf day hosted by the school at the Pollak Park Golf Club on Sunday.

Darren Plumb, Pollak Park Golf Club’s operations manager, says the club appreciates the support from the community and the school.

The results were as follows:

In the men’s division Eddie Browning won with 39 points on count out (oco).

Jason Williams was second with 39 points oco, Bernard Venter third with 38 points oco, Shane Dickson fourth with 38 points oco and Jaco Rudolph was fifth with 37 points.

Mel Browning won the women’s division with 38 points oco.

Adele Vermaak ended in second place with 38 points oco and in third place was Madie Baresse with 35 points.

Thorne Earle was the SBHS pupils winner with 27 points.

Graeme Jordaan was second with 24 points and Shane Farnworth third with 19 points.

Dean Reynolds took nearest the pin at hole four, Everard Bye at hole six, Everard Bye at hole 13 and Allan Traube at hole 17.

The longest drive at hole nine was DJ Erasmus and Byron Jansen at hole 18.
