This year’s race was uphill from Durban to Pietermaritzburg and had new cut off times.
Meshack Sogo received a silver medal for finishing in 7:21;00, and took position 263.
Thabo Thwala attained a Bill Rowan medal after finishing with a time of 8:48;00.
Bronze medals were awarded to: Mziwakhe Maseko (9:54;31), Andrew Maphakge (9:57;43), Winnie Mbukwana (10:19;47), Annetjie Nel (10:25;24), Graham Handley (10:30;58), Yvonne Macnab (10:40;17), Letshabo Pule (10:46;28), Jaco Kruger (10:53;52) and Mnyazwa Makhunga (10:57;43).
The 14 athletes who brought home the Vic Clapham medals are: Phumlane Masondo (11:04;58), Austin Kelsey (11:24;10), John Thoma (11:28;07), Wayne Kavirayan (11:31;58), Zacharia Tshabalala (11:35;00), Maritza Hartkopf (11:35;03), Santie Kelsey (11:40;15), Tina Spyridis (11:41;47), Jacques Smith (11:46;04), Kim Maxwell (11:50;30), Johan Roos (11:53;45), Willie Du Preez (11:56;52), Candice Hillcoat (11:58;51) and Karin Smith (11:59;53).
Striders club secretary Rhoda Steyn says the the club is very its athletes.
