There is hope for Springs’ soccer team

Springs second soccer team faced off against Old Benonians Football Club, on Saturday, at the Pam Brink Stadium.

This was the local side’s first game this season in the Eastern Soccer League.

They lost the game 2–0 to Benoni, but still have other games to play, so all may not be lost for the players.

Springs player, Samuel Ramosie, who could not play due to an injury, says the first half of the game saw Springs doing well and luck appeared to be on their side.

“We had a lot of opportunities which we missed, so our opponents got the chance and they used it,” he says.

Samuel adds that they played a good game, but will practice harder for their next game, this weekend.

The team practices three times a week.

“We will be ready for the next game,” says Samuel.

“We are going to burn them and they are going to run.”

Local player Bernett Motseothata passes the ball to his team mate on Saturday’s match against Old Benonians Football Club.
Mmuso Motapane maneuvers the ball around his opponents and kicks the ball to his team mates.
