Physio therapist holds golf day for patient

He raised R60 000 for the sick child.

A local physio therapist hosted a golf day last Friday for one of his patients.

Edward Wilson managed to get a field of 136 golfers at the Springs Country Club in aid of one of his patients, Bradley Fourie (4).

The child needs medical attention after he was diagnosed with a severe case of primary immune deficiency in October 2014.

This is an unique disease and all his medical tests have to be done overseas.

Bradley also needs a bone marrow transplant at the end of the year.

Edward says the cost of Bradley’s medicine is about R20 000 per month, above the R50 000 his mother owes the medical aid, his formula that costs R4 500 per month and his chronic medicine that cost R5 000 per month.

He also has to start treatment to boost his immune system that will cost R200 000.

Bradley struggles to gain weight and at this stage he weighs 11kg, while his peers weigh 25kg.
