Rain hampers the cricket

The fourth league bravely started play against Etwatwa before the rained poured down.

Saturday’s cricket matches at Springs Old Boys (SOB) cricket club were hampered by the afternoon’s rain.

The fourth league bravely started play against Etwatwa but only managed to bowl four overs and pick up one wicket before the match was called off.

The first league match was cancelled due to the rain before any balls were bowled.

On Sunday the premier reserve team of SOB beat Tembisa’s team by 24 runs.

Zandre Zigmund scored 40 runs and Stephan van Heerden 28 runs.

The bowlers who did well were Zandre Zigmund (6 overs 1 wicket for 10 runs) and Stephan van Heerden (6 overs 4 wickets for 26 runs).

U/10A won by 90 runs against Wattville.

U10 S lost by7 wickets against against Actonville.

A/12A SOB lost by 6 runs against United.
