Entries are now open for the Garbie 32km/15km road running race, organised by the Springs Striders.
This race will take place at 6am on February 1 from the Springs Rugby Club at Olympia Park.
The prize money for the winners in the open men’s and women’s divisions will be R1 000 for first place, R600 for second and R400 for third.
The prize money for the veteran men and women race is R450 for first place, R250 for both the master men and women and R150 for the grand master men and women.
The entry fee for the 15km race is R60 per person and R110 for the 32km.
The closing date for pre-entries is January 25.
Hand delivered entries will be accepted from 9am to noon each day from January 26 to 31 at the Striders Club House at the Springs Rugby Club.
Online entries can also be done on www.entrytime.com until January 25.
Late entries on the day of the race will be accepted at an additional fee.
There will also be a 4km walk or run, starting at 6:15am the same morning.
The entry fee for this is R35, payable on the day of the race.
There will also be a 50 metre tiny tots race at 7am.
The entrance fee is R5, payed on the day.
