Springs Bowlers defend their title in KwaZulu-Natal

Twenty bowlers from Springs Old Boys (SOB) Bowling club recently went down to Sea Park South Coast KwaZulu-Natal to participate in the annual bowls competition against The Bell Bowling Club.

There were two games played on the one day each consisting of 10 ends.

The defending champions SOB were trying to defend their title after winning the trophy last year but never succeeded.

At the end of the day the Bell Bowling Club won the trophy, but SOB promise to be back next year.

Speeches followed where the trophy was handed over to the winning club and then a very tasty supper was served.

Sharon Pratt, bowler from SOB, says the award ceremony was followed by a party with fantastic music and everyone danced the night away.

Another two social games of 10 ends each was played the next day followed by a braai and ended off another very successful weekend at the South Coast.
