Warren boxes on August 28

This boxer sponsored by Springs' Meat World, is fighting in the Boxing Extravaganza to be hosted at Presleys in Boksburg.

The fight, that takes place on August 28, will be against Jeff Ontombio from the DRC.

“My fight will be the main fight with many other exciting fights on the under-card.”

The tournament starts at 7.30pm and Joubert’s fight will be at about 10pm.

Joubert describes himself as a talented and hard working boxer who is disciplined, dedicated and determined, and his focus is to become a world champion.

He broke his ankle in his second last fight, which was the first round of a World Boxing Council (WBC) African Boxing Union (ABU) title fight on December 3, 2012.

He redeemed himself after a full recovery to fight as junior welterweight for the first time at The Boxing Explosion held at Carnival City Casino on October 31 last year.

Here he outclassed the number six ranked welterweight, Mastered Mangalaza, via a unanimous points decision.

Joubert, a personal health and fitness trainer, keeps fit by running and doing lightweight exercises in the gym in the morning.

“Then I’m in the boxing gym in the evening doing bag work, hand pads and sparring.

“I’d like to also thank Angelino Pereira, owner of Meatworld in Springs for supporting me all the way,” says Joubert.
