The book begins with Ollie who lives on a farm in the Australian Outback where he enjoys living with his family, especially his beloved dog Chloe and his grandmother, Nanoo.

Nanoo is the most important person in his life, so when she disappears Ollie is rightly worried and cannot accept the fact that she is gone.

His prayers are answered when Starchaser from the planet Terenza, with his dog, Buddy, arrive in Ollie’s garden. Together they head off on a big adventure to Terenza too look for Nanoo.

We can’t say if Ollie finds his beloved Nanoo or not, but in her debut children’s book, Tanya Southey has managed to tackle a difficult subject like death and make it understandable for younger audiences.

The Australian-based author has based some of the characters in the book on her own beloved pets, and their antics will keep you entertained for hours.

This book is suitable for readers aged nine to 13.
