Excellent service from Springs Department of Labour

Springs resident enjoys excellent service at Department of Labour.

Tjaart van Vuuren writes:

It is with great pleasure and gratitude I report the excellent service I received from the personnel at the Springs Department of Labour on August 8.

After suffering three heart attacks a couple of years ago, my health deteriorated to such an extent that I now have difficulty walking and keeping my balance.

To my shame I must admit that it was with some apprehension that I approached the offices at the Department of Labour, expecting a frustrating visit.

On my arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the way in which I was received and welcomed.

At the reception desk, they immediately saw the condition I was in and went out of their way to assist me as much as they could.

They helped me sign in and then helped me to a seat right in front of the cubicles where the staff were attending to people who wanted to proceed with business of their own.

I had hardly sat down to await my turn, when one of the staff members, Ruth Instengu, assisted me.

She was very kind, helpful and professional.

After submitting my documents to her for claiming UIF benefits, she explained to me that she required some kind of written confirmation from the company that laid me off.

She went out of her way to resolve this matter, and contacted my previous employer, and spoke to Carine, who promised to email the required document the following Monday (August 13).

Ruth, in turn, assured me that she will keep me up to date with the process, and let me know telephonically, which she also did.

I highly commend this department for their excellent and professional service, and I would like to thank Ruth for her outstanding service.
