Springsites are in favour of e-pharmacies

The first e-pharmacy in Africa was opened in Alexandra recently. We asked our readers if these pharmacies are a good idea.

Simon Mathibela: “It’s a very good idea. It’s convenient. Have you seen how long the queues are at the clinics?”
Deney Ahrens: “Yes and no. Yes, they are a good idea because you don’t have to go to the pharmacy anymore. No, because if this technology is widespread enough, people won’t need to go to pharmacies and eventually, pharmacists will lose their jobs.”
Maggie Botha: “I think it will be better for everyone instead of standing in a long queue all day. They must just make sure there are enough of them around otherwise you will get a long queue now at the facility.”
Tracy Matamela: “It’s a good idea because it’s convenient and you don’t have to stand in a long queue.”
Tebogo Moleele: “I think they are a good idea.”
Raymond Clement Dunn: “It’s a good idea. There’s no delay and you can go at any time.”
John Dennis Ferreira: “I think it will save people a lot of time.”
Joylene du Plooy: “It won’t work. They will just steal your card like they do at the ATM and then walk away with your medication.”
