Take care what you say

Don't judge the child before you understand their behaviour.

Louise Venter writes:

I would like to appeal to the rude person in Strubenvale Spar last week. My grandson did not ask to be born with Large Congenital Melanocytic Nevus and epilepsy.

He had a fit on the way out and this lady reckons that “children like that” should be kept in their houses.

He is a friendly four-year-old boy, not an animal.

My daughter was heartbroken.

I hope you had a glorious night after you hurt my daughter.

Spots, epilepsy and all, he has a wide circle of friends and family that love and adore him.

He doesn’t need your compassion.

From a relatively upset grandmother.
