I am a disabled person who has never experienced such a total lack respect for disabled people as I have in Springs.
I have been fighting the disabled parking issue all over the East Rand.
The metro told me they don’t see it as important to enforce the law.
They are not allowed to fine people on private property and the parking at shopping centre’s are private property.
I have contacted the companies that have branded cars parking in a disabled parking and one of the companies responded to my query.
They said action will be taken against the driver.
• Despite sending questions to the metro on November 2, no response was received at the time of going to print.
