Samaritan pays for petrol

I was filling my car up and buying bread and milk at a garage in Ermelo Road, Strubenvale on Wednesday.

When I paid the machine took too long to complete the transaction after the money was deducted, so the money quickly went off my account but was reversed back into my account immediately.

We had to wait a minute or so to repeat the transaction, therefore, I let the people behind me pay so that they are not held up.

When it was my turn to pay again, the last gentleman said he had paid the bill, but I did not actually understand what he meant.

When I went to the till, the woman behind the counter handed over a slip and said the gentleman paid for my petrol.

I tried to stop him but he kept walking so I took the slip from the lady and went outside but he was driving away.

I am still a little shocked, speechless and overwhelmed.

This was such a nice and generous gesture and I want to truly thank him for what he did, I truly appreciate it.

Please let me know if there is any way I can repay you?

Janet Keiser.
