I have a lot of mixed feelings about this one…
The story-line was incredibly intriguing and the three major roles were played by incredibly good actors, but it lacked… oomph.
The Australian movie centres on three detectives working in the same precinct, but they become entangled in a tense struggle after one detective was involved a an accident that leaves a child in critical condition, but was a hero that very same day for being shot in a major drug bust.
One is guilty of crime, one tries to cover it up and the other puts in all his efforts to expose the detective.
How far will they go to disguise and unravel the truth?
The film takes you on a twisting road and messes with your emotions and own personal morals.
I kept thinking he’s a coward, but then more is revealed and I decide that I probably would have done the same and that he has punishment enough, and then I change my mind again.
The ending was heartrendingly touching as the detective goes above and beyond to come clean to the mother of the boy.
What happened then astounded me.
