Almost Fixed Fudgie!

Sjoe! That was a close shave.

Literally too – I have bald bits all over me from where they did various tests and stuff. My whole tummy is bare – although to be honest that’s not too shabby. While it’s been so hot I could lie with my tummy on the tiles – all nice a cool.

For those who have a tik tik things like Mom’s – go google what made me sick – Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA). It’s nasty stuff! It makes little doglets’ own bodies attack themselves. How sneaky. If it had not been for that nice Dr Dean at the hospital, I think I may have come to a sticky end.

Must say though, always have felt like I am a big dog on little legs… now that I am full of Alsatian blood – I reckon I’m more big dog than little doglet.

Now if only I had the energy to behave like one.

I’m home – after nine days in hospital – getting poked, prodded and having nasty hooky things attached to my paws. They went through all four of my paws and had started back on the first one again by the time I left.

But I still feel very pap. Like a piece of spaghetti.

Feh! I can’t even climb the stairs to get to the bedroom or our office. Have to make sad puppy eyes and mom or Alpha carry me up.

While that wretched Ralphie zips passed me and smirks. Cheeky critter.

I came home with a shed load of pills too. Yuk Foef. Ghah. That sneaky mom wraps them up in bits of chicken or cold meat and then offers it to me like it’s a real treat.

But I am sneakier.

I eat the meaty treat and spit the pill out.

Mom tries again.

On the third or fourth try I feel sorry for her and swallow it down.

There’s 15 pills in the morning and 13 in the evening – so as you can imagine – I’m having a lot of good stuff to eat.

Apparently it’s the high dose of steroids that I have to take that are making me so pap – and keeping me alive.

But today we went for a check-up and my red blood count is up to 24 (a healthy dog’s count is 45).

Whroof hroof.

This is good news. It means fewer pills too.

Slobbers and licks to you all.
