Winter has its last say before Spring gets to town

Cold plus wind make for a stay-at-home-weekend.

Spring is just around the corner but Winter is not going down without a final goodbye.

Over the last few weeks, the weather was mildly enjoyable as it nestled between cool winds and a sun sneaking through a little of its warmth.

Then you wake up the next morning and the wind is trying its best to blow you away and the sun very skimpy with its rays of heat.

The weekend starting off with a chilly one degree minimum and a maximum of 10 degrees.

Saturday is definitely a day to remain indoors, get comfortable on the couch with a warm blanket, a nice cup of hot chocolate and a chic flick as Saturday an expected minimum temperature of minus two degrees and a maximum of 15 degrees will deter anyone from leaving the warm safety of their homes.

Being a lover of Winter, I look forward to Spring and think that this (hopefully) final tantrum of Winter is just plain spitefulness.

In the same breath, two months into Spring and I long for the cold of Winter again.

So basically I just can’t make up my mind with what I want and what would suit me.

Nature has its own funny way of shifting into different seasons and we have to accept it.

Frankly, we don’t have much of a choice.

If all goes well, we can kick off our winter boots in a week or so and dust off those summer flops.
