SPCA to the rescue

Last week the inspectors from the SPCA showed that they will do anything to save an animal in need.

Chippy, an adventurous short-legged Jack Russell, had fallen into an open manhole in Wright Park.

SPCA inspector Graham Wesseloo, manager Celeste Kleyn and kennel manager Liezel Kruger all had a hand in rescuing the pooch.

Celeste and Liezel had to lower Graham down the 4.2m deep manhole in order for him to get to Chippy.

The dog’s owners, the Pereiras, say the SPCA inspectors are real heroes as they are willing to do anything to save an animal.

Next time one of your pets find themselves in a difficult situation and you don’t know how to help them, give the SPCA a call as they have the know-how and the skills to lend a helping hand.
