A man shot as taxi stops for commuters

A man was fatally shot while in a taxi in Dersley Park on Wednesday afternoon.
The man, who was in the passenger’s seat, was travelling from Daveyton to Springs.
“While driving along Oppenheimer Street, at the corner of Hoofrif Street, there were two men who signalled that they were also going to Springs,” explained Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, communications officer of Springs SAPS.
The taxi stopped.

“The two men opened the door and started shooting at the victim.
“He was shot twice in the head and died on the scene,” added Tshabalala.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
