SOB cricket welcomes new season

The Springs Old Boys (SOB) Cricket Club started its new season with an impressive performance.

The Springs Old Boys (SOB) Cricket Club started its new Eastern Club Cricket season over the weekend.

Opening with a thrilling match was the club’s Senior League facing Kempton 1. The team dominated, winning by 139 runs. Johnathan Diederiks led the batting side with 66 runs.

Christi Neetling stole the show by taking 7/62 in 10 overs, earning him man of the match.

The club’s juniors also kicked off their season, with the exception of the U12 teams, who were conducting their U11 Eastern trials.

This year the club is fielding two U12 and U14 Impala teams, showcasing their growth and the high standard of cricket within the club. The U8 Impala, U10 Kingham and U10 Sibali teams all secured wins.
