Ginger Golfers tee off at Pollak Park despite windy conditions

Golfers teed off at the monthly Gingers Golf Day at Pollak Park Golf Club on Saturday.

The past weekend brought the Gingers golfers together for yet another monthly tee-off at the Pollak Park Golf Club. The wind made it a bit difficult for the weekend golfers.

Harvey Scott from the club remarked that the course was very dry as it can be expected at this time of the year.

“The refurbishing of the bunkers is well underway, and this has made a huge improvement to the overall condition of the course,” said Harvey.

This month’s winners are:

Mark de Beyer took first place with 37 points, followed by Justin Seager in second place with 36 points, and Kobus Alberts in third place with 35 points.

Milk tart doubles: Dave Nagel and Adrian Lavelle with 45 points.

King of the shorts: Allan Muir with 11 points.

Longest drive: Justin Seager.

Closest to the pin for 3 on a par 5: Francois Combrink.

Closest to the pin in 2 on a par 4: JP Rossouw.

Closest to the pin for 1 on a par 3: Iain Pinkerton.

Lucky draw: Gary Boxall.

Harvey congratulated all the winners.
