A planned electricity supply interruption is expected in Springs on September 22 from 08:00 until 20:00.
According to the CoE, Eskom’s technicians will be conducting maintenance work on the electrical infrastructure.
“This will result in a power outage for both residential and industrial customers during the said period,” explained city spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
The following areas will be affected: Springs and Extension, New States, Lodeyko, Dal Fouche, Casseldale, Wright Park, Strubenvale, Reedville, Grootvaly, Pollak Park, Lower Nuffield, New Era, McCain, Fulcrum, Elmacast, Maksal, Payneville, PFG, Bakerton and Extension, Mpact, Everest/Gugulethu, Huhtamaki, Petersfield and Extension, Isover, Far East Rand Hospital, Erwart, Rowhill, Springs Mall, Geduld and Extension, Springs CBD, PKO, Netcare N17 Hospital, Krugersrus and Extension and Life Springs Parklands Hospital.
“The public is advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times while work is ongoing to avoid unnecessary incidents which could be life-threatening,” said Dlamini.
