Spring Fever Trips kicks off at Springs Town Bowling Club

The tournament, which began on Wednesday, has drawn players from across the East Rand and will continue for the next five weeks.

The Springs Town Bowling Club kicked off its first Spring Fever Trips of the year, aiming to build on the impressive momentum from last season.

Tokkie Hattingh from the club said they are eager to carry out their strong performance from last year’s competition.

Each year bowlers from across the East Rand support the club for the Spring Fever Trips. They bring their best to make their clubs and teams proud.

The tournament, which began on Wednesday, has drawn players from across the East Rand and will continue for the next five weeks.

“I am happy about the turnout and I’m hopeful that the competition will attract more bowlers,” said Hattingh.
Teams of three were randomly matched to face each other on the green.

In this triples format, each player uses three bowls, totalling nine per team, to compete in a series of challenging matches.
