Dynamic Archery School shines at Ekurhuleni provincials and secures spots for nationals

Dynamic Archery School congratulates all the archers for their stellar performances and wishes them the best in the upcoming national championships.

The Dynamic Archery School’s archers recently made a good impression at the Ekurhuleni provincials in Pretoria, showcasing their skills and bringing home several medals.

The team’s outstanding performance also led to 12 archers being selected for the prestigious Inter-Provincial Championships and Inter School Championships (IPC/ISC) nationals in Kimberley from September 25 to 28.

The selected teams are:

  • High school A team: Zhaar Taljaardt, Schalk Burgers and Samuel van de Griendt.
  • High school B team: Gabriel Lotter, Wian Taljaardt and Mohammed-Razeen Sheik
  • Primary school team: Angelina Luis, Shardone van der Walt, Franco Wilken and Marnu Burgers.
  • Adult archery group team: Andrea Harmse and Grietjie Poolman.

Results from the provincials:

  • Taljaardt from Hoërskool Hugenote won a gold medal in the high school boys’ category, the high school overall trophy, and the overall winner trophy for the day.
  • Burgers from Laerskool Christian Beyers earned third place in the primary school boys’ category.
  • Van der Walt from Laerskool Jan Van Riebeeck took first place in the primary school girls’ category.
  • Luis from Veritas College took second in the primary school girls’ category.
  • Harmse, an adult archer from Dynamic Archery School, secured third place in the women’s category.
  • The Dynamic Archery team youngsters also performed well, winning the gold medal for high school teams.

The winning team members:
Taljaardt, Lotter, Zander de Wet, Van de Griendt, Burgers, Taljaardt, Cody Jeffery, Burgers, Van der Walt, Luis, Elanri de Kock, and Samantha Sonnen.
