Business helps beautify Springs

Several businesses have done their bit to beautify Springs.

Auto Alpina, a Springs business for 45 years, is stepping up to help restore the town. Owner Severo Fernandes and his staff have cleared and repainted the space in the middle of their showrooms.

Fernandes says he will do whatever he can for Springs and that other businesses and the Military Museum inspired him to play his part and make a difference.

“We have plans to fix the shared neglected site lying between ourselves and Hoërskool Johan Jurgens, where there is dumping.”

He adds that he could have moved his business, but the town has been good to it.

“We are bringing more investments in with hopes of uplifting Springs.”

Fernandes has said he is in the business of dealing with good quality, which has translated into the relationships he has built over the years.

“I have good staff who have worked with us. Some have worked for over 30 years for us. We, as businesses, have also built a special relationship even with each other.”

Fernandes adds that there are more plans to continue restoring Springs.

“We have plans to be part of the restoration and maintenance of Windmill Park. We also have plans for the space where the SPAR used to be once we can secure land ownership. It’s all about doing.”

Hot Pot Paints contributed to the project by donating paint.
