Enderun College gives back for its winter warm up iniative

The school continues to strengthen its ties with the surrounding communities.

As the weather warms up, Enderun College continues to demonstrate community commitment through its winter warm-up initiative.

The school organised a charitable project to benefit the children of Al-Atfaal Pre-School and Daycare in Kwa-Thema recently.

Students and teachers of Enderun College came together to prepare and distribute 65 care packs, each consisting of a cheese sandwich and a cup of soup.

School representative, Tasneem Matwadia, says the initiative aimed to provide some warmth and comfort to the young children during winter.

“The success of this project was made possible through the generous contributions of Springs donors, who provided the necessary resources for the care packs.

“The collaboration between donors, teachers, and students exemplifies the spirit of giving and community support that Enderun College strives to instil in its learners.”

The distribution of the care packs was a well-coordinated effort.

“This winter warm-up initiative is part of a broader tradition at Enderun College, where each term features a different project aimed at giving back to the community. These projects not only provide much-needed support to local organisations but also teach students the importance of empathy, charity, and community engagement.”

The principal, Ande Nongogo, expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the project, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in making a difference.

“Our students learn valuable life lessons through these initiatives. It’s heartening to see them take an active role in helping others and understanding the impact of their actions.”

The school looks forward to future projects and the opportunity to further strengthen its ties with the community.
