Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• August 3
Geduld Karate Club hosts its monthly family market. Come and join them for the afternoon while exploring different stalls. There will be food, gifts, clothing, children’s entertainment, toys and much more. Vendors can book a stall for R100, and junior entrepreneurs (aged 6 to 16) can book stalls for R50. R10 for every stall booked will be donated to Moms Supporting Moms. For more information, call Hendrehet on 082 569 8495.

• August 6
The Springs Senior Citizens Club will hold a Bingo morning at 10:00. The cost is R40 for eight games, which includes refreshments. Cash prizes to be won. Everyone is welcome. The club is on 1a Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. For more details, call Pauline Houghton on 011 811 0098.

• August 24
Insimbi Legacy Projects from Midvaal is hosting its annual Amazing Race, but this year, here in Springs. The starting point will be at the Springs Mall, and the race will consist of six challenges to complete all over town. The theme is Out of Africa, and teams are encouraged to dress up. Two individuals can make up a team, and the costs are R600 per team. For more information, call Ronel Koekemoer on 060 508 6334.

• 30 en 31Augustus
Die Rumoer Fees vind by die Rotundus Oord in Vischkuil plaas. Die ingangsfooi is R75 vir volwassenes en R50 vir kinders. Hekke sal om 08:00 open, en daar is heerlike stalletjies, helikopter ritte en boereorkes kompetisies om na uit te sien. Vir meer inligting, kontak vir Heidie by 084 209 7131.

• 13 en 14 September
Die Laerskool Jan van Biebeeck bied hulle jaarlikse Jan se Skuld Fees aan. Die fees sal op die Hoërskool Hugenote se terrein plaasvind, met ‘n rits kunstenaars om na uit te sien. • Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00. With this, Meat World Springs calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park, and it runs from 07:00 to 12:00. Stall hire for businesses is R150 and R100 for farmers.
