Rugby club reborn

After closing down for a few years, the Junior Bobbies Rugby Club is now open.

After the school rugby season ended, a group of parents came together and decided that Springs is in need of another rugby club.

They made it a matter of determination to get the old Bobbies Youth Rugby Club set up again.

In 2009 it was one of the biggest rugby clubs in the East Rand. But after several years, the club fell dormant.

It has now been re-registered and the Junior Bobbies Rugby Club is officially open.

Training fields are on the corner of Sarel Cilliers Street and Trichardt Avenue. The rugby club is looking for players from U6 up to U18.

Girls U6 up to U9 can join in the tag teams. Practice is every Monday and Wednesday at 17:30 to 18:30.

For more information contact the team manager, Clayton Fisher-Hill on 071 169 5427.
