Visitors from in and around Springs can visit the growing exhibit to learn about the history and culture of the town.

There are new attractions that have made their way to the grounds. The newer of the attractions is a war piece that inspired a movie. The founder of the museum, Tony da Cruz, introduces its history.

“Springs War Hero and subject of the famous movie The Great Escape, Roger Bushell, is getting his own Memorial at MMM Springs.

Visitors of the museum are given a realistic experience through the donated mining and military pieces on display at the museum.

“A Second World War propeller, donated to us by the Johannesburg Military Museum, forms part of the exhibit.”

He explains the propeller has been mounted on a specially selected granite rock.

“The exhibit will have interesting elements that tell the fascinating story of our great Springs war hero.”

The museum is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 09:00 to 12:00.
