Enjoy a fun interactive cooking experience

Food Jams opens at Emperors Palace.

Looking to expand your culinary horizons? Look no further than attending one of the new Food Jams experiences at the Feastivity Cooking Studio at Emperors Palace.

Food Jams, started by chefs Jade de Waal and Jocelyn Myers-Adams in Cape Town, is a fantastic way for friends, family, colleagues and even strangers to come together to ‘jam’ with ingredients instead of musical notes.

Combining the power of cooking with a commitment to entertainment and sustainability, Food Jams at Feastivity redefines what it means to indulge in your own unique creations while caring for the planet.

Combining a passion for music and a rich culinary heritage, saxophonist De Waal was raised in a family that cherished the kitchen as a space to come together and celebrate.

As both a musician and a participant in the inaugural season of MasterChef South Africa, the concept of Food Jams naturally evolved.

It became a place where friends, family and even strangers would gather to ‘jam’ with ingredients instead of musical notes.

Food Jams, which originated from her home kitchen in Cape Town nine years ago, has since grown into a thriving culinary community.

With a wealth of local and global culinary expertise, executive chef Myers-Adams has earned acclaim from the World Wildlife Fund for Nature South Africa as a distinguished ambassador in South Africa’s Sustainable Seafood Initiative programme.

She serves as a passionate advocate for sustainable food principles, championing the cause of supporting local providers, embracing organic ingredients, and actively promoting the reduction of food waste to help mitigate our ecological footprint.

Fuelled by their love for people, culinary artistry, and the world of food, De Waal and Myers-Adams radiate a dynamic energy that is hard to match.

Food Jam will be in the Feastivity Cooking Studio, next to the Red Roman Shed.

Food Jams at Feastivity aims to create culinary connections, where a skilled team of chefs is at your service, providing a diverse range of interactive, hands-on cooking encounters tailored for groups of all sizes.
