Senior citizens treated to breakfast

The event was held at Zonskyn Tea Garden on Friday morning, in a joint effort with Cornerstone Ministry International.

Senior citizens from Springs were treated to a delightful breakfast courtesy of Zonskyn Tea Garden on Friday morning.

The breakfast event was organised by Cornerstone Ministry International, aiming to extend their outreach beyond the church walls and serve the community as part of God’s work.

Additionally, the senior citizens were gifted blankets to take home with them.

Mariska du Plooy from Zonskyn and head pastor of Cornerstone expressed heartfelt sentiments, stating, “Our hearts are truly with the elderly because they are often overlooked, even by their own families.

“We feel privileged to serve them, as they are the ones who have laid the foundation for our lives,” said Du Plooy.

Each senior citizen received prayers and words of encouragement from Du Plooy, along with Janine Smook.
