Putting Springs in the picture

The museum has been making some additions to the enjoyment of residents.

The Springs Mining and Military Museum has achieved another milestone. The museum has installed a tourist photo frame for all to enjoy just outside the museum.

Founder of the museum, Tony da Cruz, says this presents an opportunity for museum visitors to create new memories.

“It is to showcase the museum and create a platform for visitors to take wonderful photos.”

This idea was inspired by the tourist photo frames in places like Cape Town and other parts of the country that have been placed in front of other views to offer a beautiful background for their pictures.

The frame, which has been named the Markon MMM Frame, was commissioned after primary sponsor Henlo Meyer came on board for the project.

The frame was erected on June 6. Tony extends a special thank you to everyone who turned the concept into a reality.

“I would like to thank Markon Motors, the primary sponsor of the project. Many thanks are also given to the support sponsors – Prosafe Security, MMM, Henlouw Shotblasting, ER Signs, Machine Tool 2000, and the Ekurhuleni metro.”
