WK Du Plessis RCL raises funds for school
The matric RCL are making efforts to make their school a better learning environment for everyone.
The matric RCL at Dr WK du Plessis School collaborated with RocoMamas Springs Mall for a fundraising initiative.
They worked a shadow shift to raise funds for the school while attaining life skills in the workplace.
Their ongoing fundraising aims to buy benches for their fellow learners at the school’s temporary facilities.
The team showed dedication in leaving their mark and was not afraid to work hard.
“We are, of course, proud of them.
“ We are grateful for all the support RocoMamas has given us and look forward to a wonderful partnership in the future,” says the school’s spokesperson, Tazmin Rudolph.
The RCL raised R1 800 during their shadow work shift. These efforts are in conjunction with the Spirit Week, held at the school, which raised R5 000.
“The children got to dress differently every day of the week.”
They will carry on raising funds in the next quarter.
