JP Kruger claims EFC championship title

Kruger becomes the undisputed middleweight champion.

Local boxer JP Kruger from House of Tinkerbell became the undisputed middleweight champion at the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) 112 Fight Night on April 11.

In a statement, EFC said: “The EFC Performance Institute (PI) witnessed an evening of high drama where the interim middleweight champion Kruger turned the tide in an incredible display of courage to take the unified belt from Luke Michael.

“Michael employed his stifling wrestling to set up a beating upon his opponent in the first round, which opened up a variety of cuts across Kruger’s battle-weary face. Michael, however, found himself unable to escape a mounted guillotine choke in the second round.

“He had no choice but to submit, hand the unified belt to Kruger, and send the crowd into delirium.”

Expressing his excitement, Kruger said, “God gets all the glory, for he is my strength. I just want to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support. I’m just a product of the people I surround myself with,” Kruger said.
