Enderun celebrates Human Rights Day
Enderun College runs many initiatives during the academic year to enrich its learners.
In its commitment to promoting holistic education, Enderun College celebrated Human Rights Day with learning and creativity.
Two activities aiming to deepen the learners’ understanding and appreciation for human rights marked the day.
In the morning session, amid the regular curriculum classes, learners were grouped into four teams, each tasked with exploring a fundamental aspect of human rights.
These topics included the right to education, access to food, health, and sanitation, freedom of expression and opinion, and the right to dignity.
Each group delved into their topics, preparing insightful presentations that explained the essence of each right and highlighted the responsibilities associated with them.
The enthusiasm among the learners was palpable when they collaborated, shared ideas, and looked into the complexities of their assigned topics.
The afternoon session had a flare of artistic expression when each group translated their understanding of human rights into vibrant canvases.
Armed with paintbrushes and various colours, learners painted their canvases with sketches symbolising their assigned rights.
The freedom to choose paint colours allowed for personal expression and unleashed a wave of creativity among the participants.
The day’s highlight was the presentation segment, where each group showcased their artwork and articulated the significance of their chosen human right.
The presentations were informative and moving, reflecting the passion and dedication of the learners towards championing human rights causes.
