Springs Scouts takes on aviation
The Springs Central Air Group Scouts were part of the hangar tour conducted at the Rand Airport on March 2.
Twenty Scouts from Springs Central Air Group joined the Benoni Scouts on a tour to the Rand Airport on March 2.
The tour was aimed at visiting various hangars, seeing the different air crafts and learning about safety.
At each hangar, the Scouts attended a presentation that informed them about the aviation sector in the country and future potential employment opportunities they could have in the South African aviation sector.
They were also taught the basic control surfaces of a fixed-wing aircraft aimed at acquiring the Scouts South Africa Aviation Skills Scoutcraft badge.
